![]() In February 2002, on the way home from New Guinea, the two of us travelled around the eastern coast of Australia for two and a half weeks. The country was quite a contrast to both the land we were leaving and the land we were heading back to. Imagine a country the size of the United States, but with the population of just New York. It's almost as if the entire continent were one enormous national park. Over the course of just 18 days, we managed to hike among eucalyptus forests of the bushland, explore limestone caves, go whitewater rafting, camp out in the rainforest, snorkel, scuba dive, cycle, and swim. Oh yeah, we ate lots of great food as well! We figured it was a much deserved vacation from our medical work in PNG. ![]() To read more about our trip, select a location from the list below.
